Copyediting

Copyediting focuses on accuracy, clarity, and consistency once the structure and content of a manuscript are in place. It’s best suited to projects that have already received big-picture feedback and are ready for careful, line-level attention.

I offer light, medium, and heavy copyediting depending on how much intervention your manuscript needs. At all levels, I correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and usage; ensure consistency in capitalization and hyphenation; and check internal elements such as references, pagination, and chapter order.

At higher levels, I take a more active role in refining clarity—revising or suggesting changes to awkward or wordy passages, verifying facts where appropriate, and flagging gaps in logic or organization. Throughout the process, my goal is to strengthen the manuscript without altering its voice or intent.
